The Selection criteria for the nailab is designed to fit around technology and society which is our tagline, this selection criteria will change in due course as we grow and accommodate input from you.

The first criterion for every organization, person or event is, whether it fits the NaiLab

tagline: “NaiLab: where technology meets society.”

Does the organization, person or event operate on the interface between technology and society (including the economy)? Even better, does it build a bridge between technology and society? Each inhabitant should be able to explain how they can bridge the gap, hopefully we can help potential incubatees sharpen their plans around this concept as well.

This is what sets the NaiLab apart from other incubators within the environs. It will also strongly determine the success of NaiLab.

Criteria:

Housemates

• definite social impact (doing good).
• minimum 1 person, maximum 6 persons.
• minimum stay 1 week, maximum stay 12 months, preferably project based.
• financially able to pay their share of the costs.
• willing to contribute time/expertise to events and do sparring with incubatees.

Readymades

Must have:

• have a strong business idea.
• have a draft business plan.
• have a team of at least three skilled people.
• prove their commitment by being proactive
• minimum stay 3 months, maximum stay 18 months, with reviews in-between
• do no harm.

Should have:

• have a positive social impact.
• not exist without NaiLab.

Seedlings

Must have:

• have an inspiring business idea.
• prove their eagerness to explore the business potential of the idea.
• be open to collaborating with others.
• willing to invest time and expertise for NaiLab events.
• Maximum stay is 3 months stay
